COMMODIFICATION OF TEKTEKAN CALONARANG AT BATURITI VILLAGE, KERAMBITAN, TABANAN I Ketut Sariada Program Pascasarjana Institut Seni Indonesia Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia e-mail: iketutsariada@gmail.com ABSTRACT Tektekan Calonarang is a Calonarang dance drama performed as a new tourism model which in its presentation is accompanied by Tektekan gamelan; a small traditional bamboo music from Baturiti village, Kerambitan, Tabanan. Balinese communities usually disagree to showcase a sacred culture for tourism, but in Baturiti village this is different. They actually support the commodification of TektekanCalonarang using sacred barong and rangda for tourism. This raises questions because it is contrast with the attitude of Balinese communities in general. This research is conducted in Baturiti village, Kerambitan, Tabanan using qualitative method.
